To be a Genius

--

We have a deep societal thirst for being intelligent. Many people that aren’t feel ashamed; many other people fear they will never measure up, and thus fail to even try. We have ascribed intelligence in math, science, and literature as the end all be all. In doing so we have failed to realize the genius hidden within all people. I believe that every person has at least one thing that, if properly nourished, will grow into what others consider genius. I like to imagine a future world where children are brought up to find their inner genius, and allow that to thrive instead of being forced to fit inside of a box just to be able to afford to live.
